Whad did I miss?

Being far more sensitive to downers than most people, I was about to walk out on this as "too depressing for me" a half dozen times, but didn't ...until the feet sticking out of the bathtub. That pushed me over the edge, and I really did leave.

Based on the common description that includes "mixed up with human trafficking", I figured I'd skipped out on the entire last act. But then my comparison of the runtime with the clock suggested I'd skipped out on only the last few minutes.

So a couple of questions to those who've seen the whole thing:

1) How much more film was there after the feet sticking out of the bathtub?

2) Is "mixed up with human trafficking" really a major portion of the movie, or does it last only a few minutes, or is it mostly just suggested?

The bathtub scene was practically the end of the movie. Maybe 5 or 6 minutes remained.

At no time is the phrase "human trafficking" used. If I hadn't read the summary prior to seeing the movie, I wouldn't have known.

He drives the woman in the tub, she was alive, to the rehab center to get her some help, I assume. I suppose he would get into trouble for this. He and his brother are visiting his mom in rehsb and they fist pump. The end.

*spoiler alert* ;)

I wondered why he bought his Mum the wine and partied with her when he was trying so hard to get her sober.

I think, he is a good son. He believes in his mom. He knows "a sharp cut" may bring more damage to her. He sees the beauty of her when she drinks moderately, not excessively. He feels they are a family when he could make her happy. Maybe at that moment, he was thinking, 'Just let me know how it feels. What really made you so addicted. So that maybe I could find you a way out.'

I've tried 3 times to watch this. I haven't completely given up, but I wonder should I even bother? I've gotten as far as mom's meltdown after the hospital visit at the beginning of the film. Did you ever complete it?
