Terrible childish on the characters

Akia team had too much attachments and were nothing like a soldier or too gun pilots.
Jeapordise all humanity on sidonia for their petulant acts.
Comrades and casualities is part of wars. However these pilots in Akai team act like they were a child and nevet seen any deaths.
Anyway what is up with all these scruff marks on their uniforms. Is like dirts or scratch marks. And occupants of Sidonia never heard of polishing agents?
