how does child birth work in this universe?

are the kids always the species of the father? I mean when Diane and Mr peanutbutter we're in the clinic they had to watch all the puppy videos... so does that mean it comes from the male? can anyone back this up with any other parts in the series? I can't seem to remember.

jeez that might have been one of the weirdest serious questions I've ever asked.

I think gender is related to species. If a male dog and a female human have a daughter, then she would be human. If they had a son, he would be a dog.

In the case of mr pb and diane, we know they were having puppies so according to my theory, they would all be male puppies.

Its just my theory, this would be a good question to ask the writers. You are not the only person who has been wondering

This seems to make sense, as in Bojack's fantasy in which he is married to Charlotte, their son is a horse and their daughter is a deer. Similarly, Charlotte's son with her husband is a human and their daughter is a deer.

So if Diane gets pregnant, does she have a litter of puppies if they're boys?

reply

Wait, I thought in his fantasy his little daughter was a horse? I could have sworn she was, but I may be mistaken.

reply

Uh, in his fantasy, they only had one child. Harper was a female horse.

reply

Yes indeed how come there are no human-furry hybrids like i've seen in some cute furry artworks where a human and furry couple have hybrid offsprings.

reply

I think it's a coin-toss, like gender. The baby could be the species of either parent.
