Anyone else hate Diane?

I think that's the point..

I was actually fine with her in the first season but during season 2 I grew to hate her. She's freaking awful.

Have to agree somewhat. I get the smart people can make stupid mistakes, and that she comes from a crappy family herself (though not as bad as BoJack's), but she really does treat Mr P.B. like *beep*

While we are on the topic of horrible characters: I get that BoJack is meant to be this broken individual from a *beep* childhood that had a bearing on his inability to handle celebrity and his subsequent downfall from it well, but he's just so much of an *beep* that I can't find him likable in the slightest, even when he occasionally tries to do the right thing; we're supposed to pity him on some level, but there's just so much to dislike about him that it makes it hard to really care for him on any level.

Frankly, the most likable character on the show? Mr. PeanutButter. He's a short-sighted idiot in many situations, sure, but he's faithful, kind-hearted, incredibly forgiving, and has real drive and motivation. Basically since the middle of season two, the real reason I've ended up watching the show is more to see what he gets up to, rather than BoJack, and to see if Diane wises up to treating him a bit better, which thankfully she does manage to do through season 3; I was starting to feel genuinely bad for Mr. P.B. being stuck with her *beep*

Overall, I find this show to be a mixed bag. I like it, but not for the lead character.

I try so hard to like Diane but yeah I just can't. She's pretty annoying. And I think both bojack AND Mr. Peanutbutter can do better (and deserve better) than her. She's pretty selfish.

Her tirade in season 3 about the drought and the diner serving glasses of water sums her up perfectly.

And I can tell you California is chock full of folks like her..

Diane is easily the best character in the show...
