Decent Flick but Started Off with Credibility Problems

It was decent, but needed real law enforcement consultants. Just a few examples:

1. After the guy was shot in the SWAT raid at the beginning, Emily Blunt checked the guys pulse she shot but left the gun in his hands. Good grief, that would never happen. Get the gun away before doing anything else.

2. Why were the corpses kept in the wall when they had all that property to bury them in. That place would have stunk to high heaven, and it was so much work to drywall them into the wall. Made no sense.

3. Emily Blunt was totally without credibility as a FBI SWAT member.

Here's another one: in the fight scene where she was getting strangled, Kate would have been trained to defend herself much better than she did by using tactics such as putting her fingers in her attacker's eyes and nose, etc. to get him to loosen his grip around her throat.

Also, she took his pulse while wearing gloves.

I agree with all three. Thank you.

1. I was more bothered by that in my most recent watching of the film, the only thing I could think of was her wanting to maintain the integrity of the scene with the guy dead. She had a witness with her, so there's no reason she couldn't have kicked the gun away.

2. My guess is that digging a bunch of holes in the yard would have drawn attention. My speculative alternatives are: they planned to just walk away, who cares how much it stunk or the bodies. Or they planned to torch the house with an aggressive accelerant (which probably wouldn't have worked that well). Or they planned to tear the house down, and just haul it all away. Probably they would have just abandoned it.
