Worst WWII Movie Made in Last Twenty Years?
The film appeared to be what teenagers or perhaps young Millenials thought WWII was like --- from groups of Germans, let's say 10 or 12, NONE of whom had the same uniform, to the modern hairstyles on both sides, to one of the lead actors who handled weapons as if they were about to turn into light sabers --- I really don't need to go on. Acting, editing, sets (my favorite: the "French farmhouse" that looked like a rundown rambler in Calabasas), costumes, continuity, editing, all at very low levels, if that. The last scene pretty much summarizes the film: speeding away from their prisoner camp, they wisely discard the Nazi flag on the rear of the jeep. But approaching the friendly lines, the Nazi flag on the front of the jeep is still proudly displayed.
