Movies about French resistance

I was interested in the Bruno character (the french guy) in this movie. His character was interesting. Can anyone recommend any movies that are specifically about the french resistance during WWII?

Charlotte Gray is the movie that immediately comes to mind. Cate Blanchett is really good in this, but then, she's good in everything.

Inglourious Basterds

The Anarchist's Wife - it's a foreign film

reply

Well for their to be movies about the French resisiting against the Nazi invasion, you would have to have stories of the French resisting, which are few and far between because the French just waved their white flag and surrendered to the Nazis

You are an idiot.

Indeed he is, and might I add ignorant...

More than ignorant.

the Train is a great movie. It still holds up as a tense action movie, even though it's from the early 60s. It's basically the same plot as that george clooney movie from a couple years ago, but way more action and suspense (and great performances).

likewise, Black Book - a dutch movie about the dutch resistance (and the aftermath of the war for collaborators). You have to read subtitles, but it's a great flick, made by the dude who made robocop and total recall.

and i seem to remember a cable movie starring Sam Neill and Judy Davis...i forget the name of it. But it's good; better than this movie anyway.

A very good TV series Is Un Village Français, which is six seasons long. It has English subtitles.
