NBA 2K14 Problem

After about a month I decided to go on NBA2K14 on my Xbox 360. However, when I started it, a message came up saying, "Unable to load "(my name)" on a Hard Drive. The saved content in damaged or unreadable. Press A to continue." So I pressed A, and another message showed up reading, "You are about to overwrite a damaged User Profile "(my name)" file. This process cannot be undone. Continue?" I pressed "No" as I didn't want my data to be erased, and somehow the game loaded with all my data saved. The messages come up every time I open the game. Why is this happening?
