Perfect movie to watch with your significant other.

This is mainly a love story and it is quite slow. If you're a guy and are planning on watching this by yourself I would wait. There are a few horror elements but not many. Creature FX were on point but were very few. It is quite similar to "Let the Right One In" but was not executed nearly as well. Overall I give it a 6/10 and I highly recommend this with a date :)

ugh...so is it actually sci fi or a rom com? I HATE rom coms.

Certainly not a Rom-Com. More an Eldritch Romance, if you will. Or Magical Realism, perhaps. It's a tough one to define but it looks amazing, is well acted and is definitely worth a watch, with or with your significant other.
