Nearly 2 hours of some bad-tempered, clingy, p***ywhipped illegal immigrant trying to convince some boring Italian monster chick that she should love him. They only show her true monster side like 3 times, the rest is them bantering about nonsense and being that annoyingly boring lovey dovey couple that you never want to hang out with again. Amazing that people will watch this garbage and call it a good movie.

On the other hand it's not really a horror movie because you could swap out the monster angle with a terminal illness and not much would change.
I didn't hate the movie or feel it was a waste of time, it was an interesting take, but I wouldn't recommend it to horror fans because it lacks any sense of danger or consequences. Louise kills a guy and it's completely overlooked. How did Louise stay in human form before her stem cell injections? Are we really supposed to buy that she's just eaten animals in the past?
It would have made for a more interesting dilemma for Evan if she could only eat human flesh, that way he would be forced to either accept that she kills people, help her to secure meals, and/or be in constant fear that she might hulk out and eat him. Would he still think she was the love of is life if that were the case?

The bold sums up my sentiments quite nicely. I really think if he were fearing for his life but loved her and wanted to find a cure for her that would have been much better. But it was literally

Just to answer one of your questions, she only needed those injections after she started transforming, i.e, after she became pregnant. So when she didn't have those injections, it still shouldn't have been to difficult for her to just stay in hiding until she transformed, or at least that's my theory.

Check out When Animals Dream, if you wanna see a movie that is similar in tone (and somewhat in plot), but is far, far superior. It's a Danish horror film that also combines elements of romance and transformation. It's also available on Netflix!
