**Neevu kandante**

I feel this is a kind of movie which deserves discussions. I would be interested to see how others perceived it.

Agree with you! I've tons of doubts in my mind! -_-

***Spoilers If you havent watched the movie****

So Sandeep.. Do you think Richie killed Raghu? Naanu kandante yes! Neevu en heltira?

reply

Hmmm even I think so too because Balu explains that particular chapter if u remember! He has no reason to lie about that so what he said could be true!

reply

Totally agree... So as to why was Richie's friend lying?
Well my interpretation - He is just making sure "The Thing" stays with Shankranna. He helps his boss get away with it. The remaining world would always think Raghu eloped and went underground with it... He banks upon one thing, that no one would believe Balu. Just my thought..

reply

Woah! You are most probably right!
So that's a good possible conclusion!

reply

Thanks.. A Conclusion Naanu Kandanthe :)

reply

Haha we are agreeing with the same thing!
We want more perspectives!

reply

yeah :)

reply

I hope people see the thread and start pouring their thoughts and perspectives.

reply

I dont think so .... Balu character looks like he is just imagining stuff .. in the last scene with his sister .. he is shown to throwing stones at tree even though there is not crow there and even his sister is trying to stop him. So Balu's story cannot prove that Richi shot Raghu.

reply

If no one is killed by Richi, then no blood stains on the boat and no reason for Munna to think that Balu was killed by richi..

I feel richi killed Raghu and then the gold was taken by shankaranna.. The irony is Richi doesn't get to know why Munna shot him.. Dies in that confusion..

reply

Then there is nothing to think about .. it is already shown in the movie ... the ending is not straightforward.

reply

My most haunting doubt!
Was 6th chapter about Regina(Journalist) connecting all the dots according to her perspective based on the facts what she got! Or was it narrated to her by someone else?

reply

My thought its her narration. But, of course again she's narrating the facts as they are narrated to her. But I felt she also believes Raghu was killed, her perspective.

reply

Yeah and she also concluded that Munna shot Richie n then Raghu shot Munna right?
So I think anyone with a sane mind who conclude the same thing too!

I mean thats the only logical conclusion & it isn't that debatable or vary according to perspectives!

Get my point? What do u think?

reply

Yup...I got it..

reply

So now everyone thinks that only Richie's friend could be lying! We wont doubt about other characters! Because what they narrate actually sounds true!
Maybe Raksh Shetty could have given some reasons why even other people would lie about their story! That would have been fun & more confusing!

reply

I have an alternate theory. Balu is little off of his mind and is always afraid of the imaginary crow, which always haunts him. Also he smokes weed which means he hallucinates every now and then. Thus when Richie threatened him, even though he did not get hit with the bullet, he assumes someone else would have had the same trouble as of him and died and apparently he thought it was Raghu, because he had stolen that "thing". Any thoughts on this?

reply

That is one POV. But then what happened to Raghu? His priority was his mother and he took so much risk to get into Malpe just for her. If he wished to go underground, he would have done that without stepping into Malpe.. Balu is crazy for sure, but he might not be hallucinating about Raghu. Balu's characteristics are more the reason for Richie's friend to lie. What you say?

And just look at the Richie's (as a child) expression when Raghu abandons him. He feels betrayed. And definitely the remand home has changed him. He does not feel much emotions, except anger after remand home experience. His desires revenge for what happened to him. If you look closely, Richie never desires what other people do. Not even at a single juncture, I see him fascinated by the "Thing". He is a feeling less man, with only desire to avenge what happened to him. And when he sees Raghu is back to town and is almost on a way to perfect life, he cant tolerate it.

And in "The Final Showdown" just look at Richie's dance, his expressions. He seems a bit satisfied that he got his revenge. He is carefree. He dances for a long while. Just before the interval, he dances and complains about getting tired. But not in the final showdown. So my thinking is, he is internally a bit satisfied.

any one remember that yakshagana sequence?? it gives the hint on "that thing"

reply

Yeah it's about madhwacharya's ship! The thing is a Krishna idol right!Anyway the thing was never the main element of the movie!

reply

Yes that was clear..But I have another theory about it.. Will need some time to jot it down.

But will do it soon.

Curious to know about the narrators of all 6 chapters!
This is what I think!
1. Raghu's friend - who kinda looks old.
2. Richie's friend who's in jail now
3. Tara or the raghu's friend
4.???
5. Balu
6. Regina herself!(By connecting all the dots)
