Don't understand the bad comments

Sure. It is not as good or similar to the original. So what. I did not want to see the same movie again. This movie feels like a good TV episode of Prison Break. Lot of action and intense scene. The pace is good and the film is highly entertaining.

Comparing a movie to a TV episode isn't a good sign.

It's better than the original.

I only watched until the kitchen scene but up to that point I found the movie very lazy. People teleporting around, vanishing in thin air, just generally lazy things to keep the plot going

With me it's just the horrible mis-casting.

Imagine, for example, Danny Devito cast as the Terminator. It's that bad.

Tom Cruise just plain cannot carry off the Jack Reacher of the novels. Period. My brain just can't get past seeing a diminutive punk playing the great Jack Reacher.

It didn't bother me in the first one so much, but Tom's miscasting in this film was noticeable. There's a lot of scenes in this film that require Reacher to be physically imposing and intimidating and for the first time ever, I felt Tom was just out of his element.
