Emmy Rossum would have been better in the lead role.

I totally thought you were going to ask if this won an Emmy.
At which point I would have laughed so hard, it would have almost made watching this hot mess worth it.

And yes, Emmy Rossum's great, but I don't think any actress could have done much with this.

And by the way, every time I see Danica McKellar, I think about how my mom used to remark what a bad actress she is. My mom is right. (Not like good acting could have saved this!)

OMG! I completely thought you were going to say that either this movie should have won an Emmy, or someone in the cast actually did! So reading this post in actuality has me rofl!
