Am I the only one who's disappointed?

I have been longing for an Alien game that's not shallow, with a good story, but I wish it was more about exploring and less about hiding

Nope, you're right. The game looks and feels amazing. The music and sound is fantastic. The world they created is unbelievable (Sevastopol!!) But ...

... in an Alien game, shouldn't the Alien be the scariest thing in the game? I was more afraid of those creepy robots than the Alien itself.

I also don't like the engine. I've been playing Call of Duty for years, and I am used to those controls, the way you move, the way you shoot,... Alien Isolation just feels like you weigh a ton if you know what i mean.

It's a shame. Clearly the developers are huge Alien fans. They even used some of the musicians that actually worked with Jerry Goldsmith on the Alien score in the late 70's. That is an indication of how big they are fans of the original film.

Also, for a game that is called 'Isolation', there sure were a lot of people aboard the space station :)

Have you by accident ever played the Ghostbusters video game? The same things apply here: it looks and feels amazing. The production quality is topnotch. It has awesome voice acting, music, sound design. It feels like a movie. However, when you have finished playing it, you never want to play it again.

English isn't my 1st language. I'm sorry for any mistakes in grammar, spelling...

Yeah, that's a good way of putting it, you weigh a ton. I agree about the androids. I find them as hard on novice as I did on Normal. They still kill you at initiation, and takes too much to kill. And when you have two or more after you it's just a drag.

I agree, same with Ghostbusters. It was much easier than this game, but mechanics were really botched. And I was heavily disappointed with the graphics. But like this it did have some great feeling. It's cool with the authentic original voices, original type of music and a script that's right. They are like cool movie sequels, but a pain to play
