For me, I was in one of the halls with some stragglers with guns. They were guarding the elevator and I had no way of getting past them. So, I wondered: would some noise get our "guest's" attention? So I ducked out of sight and threw a flashbang in the room. 3 seconds later, the Alien popped out and wasted everyone in the area!

I thought "hmmmm vent opening in the ceiling behind me and hostile humans in front of me......" then I spied the vent in the wall, so I threw a noise maker at the hostile humans then dove into the vent. 2 seconds later, I heard the Xeno drop down and make that excited scream like it had found dinner then proceeded to tear everyone apart, while I crouch walked to the other end of the vent I was in and came out hiding right next to a crate, as the xeno proceeded to rip apart the last hostile.

shareI was in the metro station with some humans walking down the stairs towards me. I started slamming into the wall with the maintenance jack, then ducked into a locker. Both the humans and the alien rush out to where I was, the alien chases the humans up the stairs, as I'm looking out the locker I see one of the humans come running down the stairs and around a corner, then the alien comes running right behind him.
Needless to say he didn't make it. I duck out after a minute and just stroll away.
Swapped in another game disc.
Seriously though, I so wanted to not just like, but love this game. I love the franchise. I love the aesthetic. I'm totally on board with the idea of being the prey avoiding the predator idea. Sadly, it never gelled for me :(
I came to an area with some humans - threw a noise maker and waited for the screaming to stop.
When escaping the synthetic show room - Went and placed and EMP at entrance to the supply room and waited for the synthetics to come in. Once it blew, i beat them all to death with the mechanic tool. Really saved on ammo.
That last bit is what I did in the communications room, I put down a bunch of EMP grenades then proceeded to bludgeon the droids that came when the alarm went off.

I had no way to get through to the elevator in one of the final stages as I ran out of Flamethrower fuel.
I just ran to the elevator and saw the alien chasing me.
Took out a shotgun and shot it 4 times and that earned me enough delays that got me into the elevator and shut the gate.
