I haven't actually seen this movie, but looking at all the appraisals it is getting and rated 9.0 from about 12k users, do you think it will make its way to the Top 250 page on IMDb?

Note that votes from only regular IMDB voters (whatever that means) are considered for the Top 250 list. Indian movies are at a definite disadvantage there.
Also, although the movie was great, it was a serious tragedy and lacked entertainment value in the traditional sense. That might cause some viewers to give it a lower rating.

Over 25000 votes and not anywhere in top 250. Top 1000 voters have voted a 3.7, maybe that's why it will never reach it.

Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason why a movie doesn't make the IMDB Top 250 with all the necessary criteria. 'Queen' (2014) qualifies too. There are another 7 Indian movies with the necessary criteria, either they are being overlooked or need some magical ingredient. Either way I still think foreign movies should have their own Top 250.
