Why was this Yiddish word consistently mispronounced? If director took trouble to use this extensively (especially as a counterpoint to AFSPA) shouldn't they have bothered to find out that the 'ch' is closer to an 'h'?

I know, I know, "like 'Khhhan' from the epiglottis." I kept on waiting for them to correct the pronunciation too but I think they mispronounced it on purpose so that the first syllable sounds like a certain Hindi obscenity...
