WoW! Impressive lil' indie gem!

If you're a diehard hater of the found-footage sub-genre then just go ahead and pass this one on up.. But for all other horror movie fans who don't mind the use of "found-footage"(so long as the movie has an actual plot, with capable actors), then this is a little gem that you don't want to pass up!

This makes use of several plot devices that aren't brand new, but they very much take those devices and spin them in alternate directions, rather than the tired old possessed by Satan routine.

This movie is awesome, it has a story that's engaging, with characters that hold your attention all the way through to a solid end. It doesn't fizzle out 75% of the way through, as so many movies seem to do in their taking a nosedive due to not knowing how to conclude the story being told.

This movie brings it all the way through to a close thats easily understood by the time the end credits roll.

Don't wanna give any spoilers so that's all I'll say as I give a recommendation to see this movie if you have the chance.

I thought it was great too!! I rank it close to the "posession of michael king"... Very disturbing and scary!!

The old lady really freaked me out!

I will be keeping an eye out for future work from this director!

Yes, I quite enjoyed it and I believe the quote below(made by someone on another thread) sums it up best-->

I think also because it was a relatively unknown movie with no promotion and it was really scary and that puts it in the hidden gem horror or found footage genre. When a film comes out or is discovered by the masses on Netflix and not a big film that's mass openings in theaters it just makes it that much better IMO

Just watched this on Netflix and it's pretty good! Also, the woman playing Deborah was on my favorite soap opera All My Children so that was very interesting to see her in another light.

reply

It's good and I enjoyed it. But I wouldn't say that it's great.

reply

Why wouldn't you say that it's great, cwin13? What about it makes you say that it isn't great? You must be very hard to please.

reply

I enjoyed it- found it a little overlong but other than that for the mostpart it kept my attention, it was quite tense, and a few of the scares made me jump.

I looked her up on IMDB and saw that she played Opal. Damn, she was amazing in this!

reply

It was a good film. The most important thing to me is that I'm entertained. 8/10

reply

I like the genre but I expected better out of this. It was so formulaic. Nothing left to the imagination. We are led the whole way through the very predictable end. 5/10

reply

Don't call it that.

Great found footage film.

It was an impressive directorial debut by Adam Robitel who has went on to direct Escape Room (2019) and it's sequel.
