This movie was not scary at all felt like a teenage a goosebumbs movie

Nah this didn't feel like a teen goosebumps movie at all. It was way more creepy than your average horror these days. It had jump scares but they were used correctly.

reply

Funny you say that. This was way creepier and darker than the Goosebumps movies they made.

It was that middle-spot between those Goosebump movies and a proper horror movie, like, say IT (which is still itself at the tamer end of the horror genre). It reminded me somewhat of 1980s Joe Dante movies, like Gremlins and Explorers, or even one of those Amazing Stories episodes (especially the one where Christopher Lloyd's disembodied head attacks a teenager), but the fact that teenage characters died, and apparently stayed dead, made it somewhat darker.

Anyway, it was reasonably scary, especially that fat white ghost woman, but still basically 'horror for pre-teens'.

For my Wifey it was for sure.
50 yr old woman who has to cuddle up to me and hide her face in my shirt during the scary parts.
Too cute. Part of her charm and why I love her.

Nothing extremely scary but still quite a few effective scenes. 'Fat woman' scene in particular, It Follows vibes there for sure.

I'm glad idiots like you don't last here.
