Isn't she a little too young to make a biopic about?

I mean, I hope she succeeds and wins many more medals, but what if she screws up the rest of her life or decides to become the next Tonya Harding?

That's exactly why they made it. Producers and/or heads of movie studios/T.V. channels look for the hot the news to turn into movies. They always hurry up in case it becomes old news by the time the movie is finished. Either way, they get to cash-in*.

The truth is that they should wait 10 years. If the story is still remembered, then it really is worth telling.

*This also applies to concert movies of teen idols.

It's not the story of her entire life. It's the story of her life leading up to and winning at the Olympics.

It isn't just about Gabby, either, which is why it's such a great movie.

Whether she goes to the Olympics again or doesn't, that was a good place to end the movie. I do wonder what becomes of people who win at the Olympics and then go on to live their lives. Sadly, in the case of Bruce Jenner, I know. Maybe it's best that we don't always know what happens later, lol. I'd much rather remember him as the guy on my borer's Wheaties box and great athlete than a freakazoid with some kind of sleazy and crazy family.

I see Anne Frank biopics all the time. Lol

I think Simone Biles and Laurie Hernandez as well has taken a lot of her publicity and shine but I don't think she'll pull a Tonya Harding on them or anyone else.
