Tyler Perry should have done this

That way it would have gotten the big screen release it deserves and not just a tv movie

Woman get that BS outta here. Having read the book, there's no way Tyler could handle this material.

I've read the book as well and it's not exactly literature and no different than any other cliche show or movie out there so I don't see why Perry couldn't have handled it. You are acting like it's Roots or something great like that when it's not. I don't think any of this author's books are much more than just beach reads.

It's going to theaters November 6th.

There was no build up for it at all. I'm guessing cause it didn't come from a big studio but either way I'm waiting for Redbox or PPV which is sure to happen in like a month. I think if it was made by Tyler Perry it likely would have gotten more exposure.

Tyler Perry can't do every black movie.

"it deserves"

Surely you're joking.

And why Tyler Perry, so he can inject religion as the solution to every problem known to man?

I wasted money to see this because I expected to be entertained and thought it might have been a little funny.

What I got were predictable twists, horrible acting and an even worse script.

This makes "Woo" and "Strictly Business" seem like Oscar contenders. At least they were funny!

This was probably one of the worst movies I have seen in the past 20 years, and that's saying something.

So it wasn't good? I read the book awhile back and was wondering how the movie was. I know it's an indie film and those are usually hit or miss. It's only showing in an area I don't want to go to here, so I'm just waiting for PPV or DVD.

Agreed. It was playing at two theatres in the Chicago area: The Chatham 14 in the South Side of Chicago and the AMC Crestwood 18 in South suburban Crestwood. I saw it at the AMC and it was worth the trip.

I will add this to my DVD or Blu-ray (if the Blu-ray is released) collection.

"Wasn't good" is too high a compliment for this tripe.

Wait for Netflix, unless you enjoy overblown audience "participation".
