Amazing

The best plays or movies can make us laugh--and cry. This one accomplishes both things. It will take you back to your childhood, even if you didn't grow up in Long Island in the 60's. The joys and sorrows Crystal talks about are universal, which is why this is such a powerful and moving piece.Thank you, Billy...

All I could keep thinking was how hard he was working the material. Then realized that they made no adjustment for the intimacy a close up shot brings to an otherwise theatrical performance. It's one thing to present a standup act this way, but every time a Broadway show is filmed/taped, it never truly plays as it should. The audience in the theater truly sees a different version than we do at home.

I saw this by accident today and I went from laughing hard to borderline hysterically crying. He did extremely well conveying the emotions of the stepping stones that is his life. When he got to the part about the death of his parents, I didn't need to know them to have my heart broken.

It was so incredibly profound.
