Rip-Off

Nothing wrong with adapting a certain famous classic for a new generation, and at least it was not a complete remake (also, the way the main character was played was impressive), but -if history is known to repeat itself- does cinematography have to do the same as well ?

You aren't going to mention what it ripped off? And yes everything is a rip off.. a remix.. or whatever you may call it. It is because we all are influenced by what came before us. there is no fighting it.

reply

The reason I did not mention the original by name is because -unlike others- I do not wish to spoil or ruin the movie for those that have not seen it yet. And no, there is nothing subtle about the way in which this film relates to its source of inspiration.

I'll just say Kevin Spacey was in it.

Was Kevin's characters name Keyser Soze? Cause of that's the 20 yr old/ well known movie the OP is referring to I don't even think it can be spoiled anymore. It's been around too long. They even have the term 'Keyser Sozed'/ Keyser Sozed syndrome cause it has been such an overused plot point/twist.
