Ending *SPOLIERS*

Obvious SPOILERS!

So, what do you think? Did BJ get saved at the end? We hear the helicopter blades pretty loudly at the end of the credits.

I was kind of sad he was dying at the end, but it was still very fitting especially for a soldier like BJ. He did his job, started a whole new revolution and went out like Death Incarnate!

I didn't expect a happy ending, and I'm glad the game's producers didn't force it. More and more, I'm seeing realistic endings in games and I'm liking it a lot. People die, the good guys don't always win, and life isn't fair. The guy and girl can't be together.

A side note, Frau Engel is still out there... do I smell a sequel? Since she's still alive, that gives further credence to BJ living. He killed Bubi, who's she going to take revenge on if he's dead?

reply

Oh I hope for a sequel. The whole "nazis win WW2" makes a GREAT story.
And Im a total sucker for steampunk which this does somwhat with the dieselpunk that Wolfenstein is.

I would have LOVED to see BJ in that suit at some point.
It should be possible to save him using that..

reply

Yeah, that's what I was also thinking. Caroline could get him in that suit. She's loyal enough to him to sacrifice her mobility so he could live.

The game designers probably just put that helicopter noise in at the end just so they could leave it open for BJ living or not. Hopefully the game sells well, I know it's getting solid reviews and gamers themselves seem to really like it.

I loved it, I wasn't expecting such a solid backstory and characters.

"Bubi! NEEEIIIN!!"

Frau Engel is my new favourite badguy! There must be a sequel so i can put a bullet in her head.

Don't you mean put a bullet in what's left of her head?

THAT was a awesome cutscene.

Frau Engel action figure! Now with face-collapsing action!

reply

It never occurred to me that the chopper blades at the end of the credits meant he might be rescued.............. that's a pretty good idea, I hope you're right.
Heck of a game.
