Polycarp

I just watched the movie Polycarp yesterday. I wanted to rent the movie but wasn't able to find it at my video store. So bought it on Amazon. It's a well done movie. It reminds me of movies on the Hallmark Channel. I was amazed to find out this movie was made by very young people. (20 something or even younger) The costumes and music was first rate. There is one scene I wished was not in the movie. That's where the young slave girl Anna is spit upon by a Roman soldier. It just looked kind of yucky. It could've been done without showing mucus on her face. One scene I wish was added was when Polycarp was martyred by being burnt at the stake. The fires did not touch his body so a Roman soldier stabbed him with his sword. I think this miracle would of been neat to see in the movie. Also I would like to say I thought the actor that played Demetrius (Radek Lord) did a very good job. He didn't have a big part but he was very believable. One other thing I wish was included would be to show some reference to the Eucharist and the mass but guess it was left out because of theological reasons. Being Catholic I would of like to of seen it. But really was a good movie. Looking forward to their next movie.
