Psychological Suspense Coupled with Award-Winning Acting and Direction!
Wild in Blue is an illustration of a flawless collaboration between two very talented individuals: Director, Matt Berkowitz and Actor, Frank Cermak Jr.
Berkowitz builds tension via a tight script, some very skilled cinematography and editing, but more than anything, by utilizing Cermak's keen acting abilities in a frighteningly convincing portrayal of a psychopath. Through a compelling physical and vocal transformation, Cermak brings to life a character with a tortured childhood seeking refuge in violence via sex. Berkowitz's story expresses his own dark wit and insight into humanity's selfish desires and twisted machinations.
Certainly not a family film or chick flick (Thankfully!) but one that more importantly, leaves the viewer thoughtful, begging the question: what if? What if we all could act out our rage and pain via film or art itself? Would the world be a better place, or would we all simply be feeding into our violent, depraved natures, thus manifesting more destruction and chaos unto ourselves?
