Agree. Asha's was so much more intricate and impressive. Seems like Mondo gave Sam the win cuz Sam was acting like a big baby. Bad decision!

I agree in that it seems like Sam is his pet and that he gave him the win for having a tough time, however I agree that Sam deserved it bc it was a more beachy look. I just wish Mondo had that reason. But the mentors suck. (Liking Nick, more though, now, and Anya less. But to be fair I kinda dislike all the mentors.)

Sam isn't his pet. If anything it seems like Asha is. He has praised her to holy hell in a way we have yet to see him do with Sam. Hell, he was falling all over Asha's design and the day of the runway show he told Sam his design was sloppy.

That being said as much as I've loved Asha's designs in the past and prefer her as a designer I though Sam was the clear winner this challenge. I also thought Mondo's reasoning about giving Sam the morale boost made a hell of a lot of sense. Asha didn't need that and I believe it will go a long way in encouraging Sam which is what Mondo's job is..

I thought you were going to say "of course his team did well for the the unconventional challenge" I was for sure he would be talking it up because he did pretty well at them.
