very good and very sad
This is an excellent 'small' film. It is sad, this family is quite sad with enough problems for four or five families.
It is well filmed, the story is good, and the sets are absolutely realistic.
The performances are excellent. Theo Rossi is the underdog son who wants so much to do well in life. He tries so hard.
Karen Allen gives a radiant performance of grief and love and exhaustion. In fact he made me think of Sissy Spacek.
This is a serious and sad film. It is a heavy drama but there is a surprise smile at the end.
