Actually Decent once Mao shows up....

Wow. The climax of this film is worth a watch. No joke

The first hour is quite boring, typical B-rate mediocrity, but even that time is spent pretty well developing the characters, as well as providing much needed backstory on the female lead

I'm so glad I saw this. I'm typing this up as the film is wrapping up, WOW 20 minutes straight of pure bad assery

I liked it overall. Definitely a B film, plenty of cheesy moments, and many aspects of the premise are absurd, but all of that was part of the charm. It kept me entertained, it was fun, and it was suspenseful at times. It's fairly well-made technically for what must have been a pretty low budget. And there are lots of B film and workhorse character actors who did a good job.

In fact, my only real complaint was how a few side characters were just dropped and some plot developments weren't followed through as well as they could have been--Edward Furlong's character, Robert Davi's character, the chick who gets her ear cut off, the colleague that Vinnie Jones' character kills about halfway through.

Spolers

At the end she says she going to take the rests of the people home. The ones alive still. Robert Davi's character gets away. As for Furlong I just think he was there to fill a few scenes. Not sure what else you need to explain about Vinnie Jones' character killing the other guy. He did it so he wouldn't be replaced. My biggest complaint was through the whole movie everything reminds her of family somewho, but the worst for me was the death of the sister. She could have easily taken him out without her sister shooting herself. To me it was a waste. She searched for her for 5 years just to watch her kill herself.

It's not that I needed anything explained. As I said, I felt that "some plot developments weren't followed through as well as they could have been." I would have liked more development of/more detail for the things I mentioned. It's not a big deal. I enjoyed it overall. I just would have enjoyed it more if those things had been developed/detailed more.
