bicycle helmets on soldiers?

My wife is watching this movie right now.She thinks it is great.I walked into the living room and watched for a few minutes.I noticed these cats running around in camo gear/fatigues like they are soldiers and they appear to be wearing bicycle helmets.What is going on here.
