Yes, Respire makes the audience feel Charlie's pain as the story progresses. That is a great review that you posted. Breathe was playing at a local arthouse cinema for one final night and luckily for me, I chose to see it rather than some other films. To be honest, the trailer does not do the film justice because quick soundbites without context don't capture the wonderful slow burning passion and character development. The commercial seemed to present the film as just another coming of age teen story that has been told countless times already.
