Dang

Woooow. I've seen about 180 films from last year, and there were villains in many of them, but I didn't utterly hate any of them with every single fiber of my being, and Sarah here... wow. If there's ever been a film to come the closest to really making you feel that the murder was justified, this was it. I literally wanted to punch my screen at times, hoping that my punch would somehow magically reach through the screen. Beautifully, fantastically shot, haunting and eerie while still maintaing a sense of it being a realistic story about friendship and belonging. I really hope this gets a 2015 US Release somehow

I enjoyed this film, especially the acting. However, it just ends as the story begins.

Can you please tell me what happens? Make a very short recap? Is one of them falling for the other? I have not decided to watch it yet and I don't mind if you spoil me :))

Yes Sarah was a well written character to make the audience hate her so much. And so we excuse Charlie for killing her.

I have watched the movie in an open air theatre, and in the end when Charlie finally pushed Sarah into the bedside cabinet, the audience actually cheered and applauded. I cheered too. Nobody cheered the killing though, and I do wish Charlie had left Sarah alive. Like this, she will never truly be able to get rid of her.

This was a bloody good movie about human affection, about the formation and deformation of a human bond, about traumas that breed monsters and the makings of a personal prison.

there's a highway that is curling up like smoke above her shoulder

Mate, you've hit the nail on the head there. A beautifully eloquent summary of a great film.

I also like the fact you mentioned how as a result of the ending transpiring as it did, that Charlie will never be free of Sarah.
