I just read the plot summary. How exactly will banging the lawyer's daughter help the guy from being convicted? If anything, wouldn't that just make his situation even worse?

I watched it a while ago, let's just said while avoiding some spoilers that banging the ungrateful daughter provided him with some stuff to blackmail the lawyer.

Ah, if only this logic worked in real life. When in doubt, have sex with the enemy. Well, it worked for James Bond...

But yeah, I guess I have to see the movie.

It happened because the daughter was in the "rebellious bitch" phase of her life, so she basically began to interact with the guy just to spite her mom.

Do yourself a favour: Give this a very wide berth. James Bond's gadgets are more plausible than this.

He likes to make devious plans to get his own way. Also he likes to just lie in bed with his girlfriends it seems. The movie seems to infer that no actually real banging went on between the two.
