Pretty surprised...in a good way.
I was really expecting to turn this off about 1/4 of the way through before I even started watching. I kind of liked this. I wouldn't call it a "Horror" film at all. "Thriller" more like it. The standard story of a psycho staking his victims actually had character development with the main actress. She was very good. I am glad we got to know what she was like. After a tragedy her instincts send her and her Boyfriend (Dakota Morrissiey - horrendous and wooden actor. I saw no reason that the main character would be with a guy with no personality whatsoever. Ugh!) on a search to find the mysterious "Ice cream man". Pretty standard fare with, what I thought was going to be the normal predictable ending, a sentimental and hopeful ending. Yes it could have been better but for the budget they did a good job. Look at least it wasn't Mars Needs Mom's which lost close to 140 million at the box office.
