Unfortunately, it did air on 9/13/14 on LMN. This was a fairly good made for TV movie, but the ending was terrible. Actually, there was no ending, but the plot & several subplots left up to the viewer to conclude. At least that's all I could figure out. At the end, I thought there must be more parts, but it was on again the next hour with the same episode, and again the next hour with the same. That's why I ended up here, trying to determine if it was a multi-part movie. What a waste of time for 2 hrs. I've seen movies use that effect before, but not with so many sub-plots going on. It was like a soap opera ending.

Yeah, I keep starting to watch it and seem to loose interest pretty quick, but I'm a big fan of Lauren Ambrose and am determined to get thru the whole thing. I understand what you mean by subplots: 15 minutes into the movie we have escaping slaves, marauding disguised confederate soldiers, is-her-husband-dead-or-not, her cousin(?) dying, her sister's working with the underground railroad, losing her farm, the bad banker, bad banker's creepy husband. Can't wait to see what happens in the next 15 minutes.

Someone on this board said maybe this is a trial movie to turn it into a series.

NOTE: I get "lose" and "loose" mixed up all the time, so forgive me if I got it wrong.

I can NOT believe that was the WHOLE movie! I came on here trying to find out when the next part aired...I thought maybe it was going to be every Sunday for 4 weeks or something. What a letdown!

It was originally shot as a "backdoor" pilot for Lifetime as a set up for a series. The network made the decision to wait until it aired before making a series decision. No official word, but some of the Twitter feeds from cast indicate that it will not move forward. The first tweet I saw was posted Monday, Sept 15 in the afternoon-are final Nielson ratings numbers even available by then? Was the fate of the show already set in stone before it even aired? Bad move on Lifetime's part. Rip off for everyone involved and the audience!
