It's a book? I didn't realize that.

Anyway, I did more than like it, I loved it! Fabulous film. I'm so glad they didn't shy away from anything. That kept it very real. I wish the star things were up on the front page, I'd give it 10.

And considering how cliched happy endings can be, this one was very well done.

I don't know if this was made for Lifetime, or for the theaters, but if it was made for Lifetime, it seems that someone at the network is finally listening, and trying to give us some actual quality movies, and not their idea of what they perceive women to watch (i.e. the cheesy crap they used to give us all the time).

Thank you Lifetime! Please keep this kind of programming up!

I enjoyed it too. Knew the Mom, Dad and all the children from previous shows. Whoopi should have acted more.

I read the book a few months ago when I found out this would be a movie. Watched the movie last night, and I must say, the screenwriter did an excellent job. However, I like the book better, only because there was a lot more room for character development, but I do understand the writer had time constraints.

Of course, there were a few differences. I was disappointed they took out Charolette's gay son (I THINK his name was Kevin.) She had been suspecting he was gay and she went in his room and found men's magazines/etc. I would have really loved to see that develop.

The letters in the movie that were read at the end were the exact same from the book. I cried back then and I bawled when they were being read last night. Great movie, and I definitely recommend the book.

I liked it oo. I wish Whoopi would do more films, but I know she's busy with The View
