While it isn't incredible, I found this to be a B+ horror movie. It's far ahead of most of them, especially the atrocities from the 80s... It's worth a watch if you want to suspeneful horror gore. It plays off the "desperation to live" aspect. That was seen a lot in the SAW movies. What would you do to live? As for the description, there is not one kid in this movie, much less feral ones that are cannibals. I'm not sure why that stupid backstory was even involved... It isn't in the movie at all. I don't get it, but whatever... I would compare this as a HOSTEL/SAW mix, although it's not really like either. The humanity and living premise is similar though.

I agree. It was surprisingly decent. Too gory and violent for me, but that's only because I'm more into psychological thrillers and ghost story horrors. I can't stomach watching stuff like this anymore... had to look away a lot.

Also, the humor in the beginning was actually kind of funny and believable among the three friends. Most small budget films have that awkward type of interaction (read: "bad acting") amongst the characters, but they pulled it off really well. And I loved the "I'm a brown belt" line later on in the film. Good ending, too. It's nice to finally have a horror movie where most of the main characters get out alive. Ever since the late 90's every horror movie has been trying to give these surprise twists at the end and let the villain(s) win. So it was a welcomed happy ending in that sense... even though they left it purposely open for a sequel.

I was amused which is the best I can hope for with a movie like this.
