I've heard it's bad but..
There is no way it can be worse than the previous 3 films, can it?

It's better than 7 and maybe better than 5 in terms of the main game being played (the flashbacks in 5 were the saving grace because of Tobin Bell) but it's still worse than the rest I think.
shareI did not even watch the last 3 films because after saw three, it seemed like it became more about how creative can we kill the people playing the game than it was about actually telling a good story. But this one was not the worst one I had seen. and the gore was actually pulled back a bit. But it also did not really surprise me.
shareGive 4-6 a chance. You might be surprised. 7 is bad though, but I mean might as well finish the franchise right?
shareIt's better than parts IV, V, and VII, but not as good as I, II, III, and VI.
It was OK imo. Not great, but not terrible either.
6 was very good, 5 was the worst and 7 was almost as bad as 5. as for 8, i had a blast. they did almost everything right and they came up with a solution i was not expecting.
