A History of Violence anyone?

I haven't seen the film yet, but the synopsis I read somewhere else reminded me strongly of A History of Violence. Is it anything like AHoV?

Well, it's a bit similiar and might even have been inspired by it, but the whole schizophrenic psycho thing here makes it different. It's NOT a ripoff.

I drew the same comparison as I was watching it; there are definite similarities. I prefer A History of Violence, but this is excellent too.
