This film is now officially chosen as the Norwegian entry nominee for Best Foreign Language movie at the 2015 Oscar Academy Awards.

Well. The Norwegian oscar committee really do suck balls. They often make really silly choices, so I guess I will have to wait and see the movie by myself.

I'm still extremely bitter that they chose Max Manus over deUsynlige as the Norwegian entry in 2009 and I feel there's loads of similar examples.

I agree totally! They often do!
Last year they chose a film (I am yours) which never ever would have a chance in Hell.
Kon-Tiki the year before that was an exception, though. That was the right choice.

Another stupid choice. It should have been Blind. Going with Sykt lykkelig over Oslo, 31. august remains the crown example of their incompetence, though.
