It's just a guy who starts as an idealist who for some reason becomes addicted to hiring prostitutes. There's no motivation, no attempt even to explore what might make someone do this. He just does it.

It really does. In the beginning, he comes very close to giving in to temptation with Dalia (smokin' hot) and starts to slowly lower his boundaries and spiral into addiction, being willing to risk everything even though he clearly has the sense to know better. It's about addiction which more often than not is not about what the addict is using.
