Most of the tricks are staged. It's no secret.

Skeptics love to scream "staged!" if a trick seems impossible. It's also the most boring answer. Having witnessed card tricks similar to this in person, I know they are not staged. I just think he is a particularly gifted illusionist. It all comes down to sleight of hand and misdirection. I have no doubt some of his tricks require set up before hand, and maybe even help from an unknown assistant, but it doesn't make the trick any less impressive. He's not magic. He doesn't have special powers. He's just damn good at what he does. So damn good that most people dismiss it as fake.
