2 things I need a bit of help with...

1. Was there any significance to Mina's dream? The dead deer and the hunter? Or was it just where she got her idea that meat of any kind is no good?

2. Was the document Judge gave Mina before he took the baby to his mother's? I thought it was divorce papers at first but it didn't play out that way.

1) She dreamed of a deer being shot by a hunter, and the hunter walking off into the darkness. It was a consistent dream that felt very real to her. A lot of people, including myself have dreams that are like premonitions. You dream something, and it symbolizes what happens in your future. Or you dream something and that dream pretty much happens as is. It's happened to me time and time again throughout my life and it's pretty creepy and remarkable.

The significance is she walked into Jude's mother's home after her baby had been taken by Jude and his mother and their were deer heads all over the house, and guns. As if either Jude's mother, or father was once a hunter or still was a hunter. It also represented meat, something she was obviously very against throughout the film that would be her baby's un-doing. When she said to Jude "Something doesn't feel right about this place. I don't like it here." I don't know if she remembered the dream completely ... or if the dream was still sub consciously there but the two obviously connected for her. She probably felt like it was a sign something was going to happen to her baby, but it ended up that it was going to happen to her. As she was shot by Jude's mother.

2) The papers were the beginnings of the process of taking custody away from her. They were not divorce papers.
