Florentine didn't direct?

When did that happen?

And who is Todor Chapkandy? http://imgur.com/7iZlLqe

reply

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1359237/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 And it's Chapkanov, and not kandy. He directed a lot of bad tv-movies, and a horrible film called the Asylum. The only good thing he has done is First Assistant Director on The Way Back. Everything else seem to be crap. I guess a Bulgarian director fighting himself through the Hollywood system doing anything he gets him hand on. I assume that The Way Back was shot in Bulgaria and that's how he got that job.

reply

Haha. My eyes wanted to see a more amusing name. I'm sticking with Chapkandy.

But my concern remains. Why wouldn't Florentine have directed this one? I can't imagine it was a money thing. I've read a half-dozen interviews with him about Close Range and he was inevitably asked about Boyka, about which he offered many details. You'd think one of those details would've been, "I'm not directing this one, by the way."

reply

I was wondering the same too, since Florentine even talked in interviews about Undisputed 4. I hope somebody knows some details!

reply

I did not know Florentine was not involved, I don't think I am really that concerned,Adkins is still on board and he has been passionate about getting this movie made for years I doubt he would disappoint us

I'm gonna show you something beautiful everyone screaming for mercy

reply

Florentine is involved. He talked about the film in December, and how we should support it and buy it on blu-ray. He talked about why it took so long, and how low sales number from the third film was the reason. So he asked people to both support it on VOD and get the blu-ray.

reply

I want to hear it, was it on youtube?

reply

I can't believe Isaac didn't direct! These last 2 films have been his babies. This is gonna be bittersweet.

reply

What a downer of a news. I have a lot of respect for Adkins, but I've seen the crap he's forced to do on his own. Without Florentine I don't even wanna see it.

reply

No way in hell I am missing this, who cares if the director is different? Its still URI EFFING BOYKA. It would be like refusing to see Star Wars Force Awakens because it was not directed by George Lucas.

Uri Boyka is one of the coolest villains turned hero ever.

reply

Well to be honest Lucas only directed EP4 and the prequels... and with EP4 he had a lot of consulting and help.

Personally i kinda learn it was not Isaac tonight too, now i am a bit concern... but at the same time its Scott Adkins and the writer of the previous movie seem to still billed so ...

Its true Scott did a bunch of bad movies, and not his fault, too often being the result of bad scripte and i don't blame him for taking the roles, a guy need a pay check and he is still not a household name. BUT here its Boyka... you can't *beep* that up lol

As for buying it, hell i wanted to buy the third one for year, its not avalaible in my country. At least not properly dubbed in french and all. I mean if Michael Jai White can have Never Back Down 3 released here with a french track, why not Undisputed? Its dubbed in France and all too... but they have PAL DVDs while here is NTSC.

Anyway i will still find a way to pay for U4 just to support, if it mean paying a VOD in english then ill do. Because i love the Boyka character too bad.

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!

reply

From what I understand is, he did direct, but for financial reasons, he didn't use his name. Which I believe because he comes off as a guy that would do whatever it takes to get the money for a films. I've seen this one, and it's great.

Rock over London, Rock on Chicago

reply

That's something the fans invented because they want to believe it. It has no basis in reality.

reply

I hope this won't affect the choreography. That's the only good thing i expect from this movie. :(

Dolor from U3 also had very impressive moves for such a tall man, 1.93 meters. I could actually enjoy a spin-off. A story of how he turned from a loving guy into a douche.
