I have been attending the Sundance Film Festival for 18 years and this easily goes down as the worst and most miserable film I have ever seen at the festival. Over 30 people walked out of the premier screening. If you hate yourself and feel like you need to be punished, then this movie might be for you.
I saw it at Sundance as well. It was incredible. Definitely not for most people, but it felt like a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the others I saw at Sundance. I can't wait to see it a second and third time.
I feel bad for you, as you're intentionally closing yourself off from a great subgenre of comedy: Stewart Lee, Brody Stevens, Andy Kaufman, the list goes on. If you watch On Cinema At The Cinema, you'd probably complain that their movie criticism skills were substandard.

Just like I'm closing myself off from a "great" subgenre of music because I don't think John Cage's 4'33" is a work of brilliance. I'll survive.
Andy Kaufman was easily the worst thing about Taxi. It always looked like he was "doing a character" as opposed to acting a role convincingly.

I didn't think it would be possible to feel less inclined to go see a movie than I did with Birdman. I now stand corrected. I wouldn't walk across the street to see this movie if it was free.
I agree. I am 24 minutes in to watching this piece of crap and I'm turning it off as soon as I post this comment. I have never seen anything so fricking boring. I tried watching Birdman just because of some of the reviews. I fell asleep 3 separate times trying to watch that snoozefest, I gave up.
ive shown ppl birdman after parties when we tend to pass out and their always glued and mesmerized. so stfu lol NOT EVERYONE IS YOU, BROOOooOOOOoooOooOOOH!
