Looks like their Mock Buster for Jolie's Maleficent and like that film they appear to have cast the daughter of the biggest name attached
Not sure if the VanDien/Oxenburg involvement is a step up for Asylum, or a step down for the stars
Biggest name attached to this project is clearly Olivia d'Abo. Van Dien is only known for 'Starship Troopers' and I'm not really sure what do you mean by saying 'VanDien/Oxenberg involvement is a step up for Asylum or a step down for the stars'? If anyone took the step down here, It's Olivia. She's extremely respectable and never did a movie for Asylum while both Van Dien and his wife are working mostly for Asylum and Syfy Channel so It's nothing new for them, really. And they often put their kids in those movies too.
It looks terrible. Agreed. But, Casper Van Dien was in a great little horror movie called The Pact.

What about him? He's just a narrator. Besides, he did 'Moscow Heat'. Even movie like 'Sleeping Beauty' has to be a masterpiece compared to this piece of crap.

shareI feel if the budget was bigger they could have really had something great. 2 Million doesn't get much these days especially when special effects are needed. Thats most of the budget right there. I was good but would have been better if there was a budget. Much better than most crap on TV.
The effects were on the same scale as Once Upon A Time tv show which gets great ratings. I personally don't like Once, the acting is bad and dialog is childish. The only good actor on that show is Robert Carlyle.

everything youve said has basically been advocating for the film, and your understanding makes it like you've seen the movie multiple times, or were very intently watching it, retaining everything you could, which is rare for movies that are poorly made.
Also, to try and compare this movie's effects with that of Once, is pretty weak. Once does way better with what they have, and the acting is worlds above this movie lol.
It feels like you see once as a strong competition for this show (because of their comparable budgets and similar story), and want to say that Sleeping Beauty is the better of the two because of your connection (whatever that might be, maybe u just know someone in the movie) to the movie.
Once is a fun show with likeable characters. It's a show made by people who put effort forth every episode. This movie was not that level of effort and it shows.
I disagree. I mean I haven't seen 'Once' but It's a tv show while SB is a feature film. They don't affect each other. As for the efforts, I think that people who worked on SB did their best. While it won't magically level the playing field with bigger budgeted things, It's kind of stupid to think that people who worked on SB never gave their best. I'm sure they did. But it's Bulgaria. 'Once' have a bigger budget and team of great specialists working on it while low budget movie shot in Bulgaria will always have it's flaws because people who work on movies there are not the same quality as people who work for tv in US.
On the other hand, I'm sure 'Once' has way better acting.But that's again - budgetary issue.
It could be argued that this film is part of a series. The Asylum first produced Grimm's Snow White in 2012, followed by their version of Sleeping Beauty in 2014. Those two title characters subsequently appeared (played by different actresses) in The Asylum's Avengers Grimm (2015) which spawned a sequel, Sinister Squad (2016).
