No airing date yet. 19-2 facebook page states that the show is ready and they are waiting for Bravo.

TV networks suck they've delayed many good shows: Person of Interest, Archer, The Americans, and 19-2.

He's got my foot in a food processor.

Too true.

Hey, we know it's complicated--scripts, locations, making sure your actors are signed on and don't have other commitments.

But "The Americans" is a good case in point. For heaven's sake! Was SO looking forward to another January premiere just to find out what the heck happened on "That phone call" cliff hanger only to find out it's March. Gah.

I know these productions companies must have their whys and wherefores. But in many ways they are not really serving their audiences in the way they license and option shows--which surely translates to lost revenue down the line?

Case in point is 19-2 and it's a good case in point.

I discovered it on Acorn TV in the U.S. They aired with a double episode, then are putting up ONE episode per week after that.

HELLO? Guess Acorn (or the Canadian company who licensed it to them) hasn't gotten the memo that folks tend to subscribe to services to get ALL episodes at once. If we wanted to be fed one ep per week, we'd go elsewhere for free.

As a consequence, why bother with Acorn? I watched the first four, then went elsewhere and got the rest of season 1 and all of season 2 and I'm now finished with it, so Acorn's offering of it is useless.

Acorn may not see it as a deal breaker for subscribers--this show--but how many subscribers DO sign on for the 30-day trial just to see one show that isn't easily available elsewhere but keep on with it, if other shows are good?

It happens surely. I signed on Acorn just for series three of A Place to Call Home which was very, very hard to find.

So folks who signed on for 19-2 won't stay long. Why bother if they have to subscribe to Acorn for 6 months to see the season 1 and 2, week by week? It would be cheaper to buy the DVDs.

This whole licensing and airing thing has really gone into the crazy realm these days.

Bottom line is, they seem to be constantly shooting themselves in the foot.
