Question about Kimmy Goes to a Hotel

This show started okay, but my interest has been fading and I noticed that with each episode I watch, it's kind of on in the background as I'm doing other stuff and half paying attention, anyway, so I'm not sure if this had been explained, so I apologize in advance, but if Dong is married to Sonja, why does he get deported at the end of the episode when they get arrested for violating a raccoon sanctuary or whatever? Oh oh, AND is this the exact scene (or supposed to be) of the first episode of the season, the fist 5 mins, and then Titus says, "three months before this mess..." and the story starts. Then this episode starts exactly the same, although a A LOT of differences and parts that weren't in the first episode, like that it's not really Christmas and it's kimmy's fake Christmas, all that. Is this supposed to be finally when we catch up? But yeah there's so much confusing stuff that I just miss and don't get at all. But more than anything? If he's married, why is Dong deported???? He and Sonja were living tigether, Immigration wasn't like even after them, there was no investigation, he's just gone? Why?
