..Clare asks..the guy mumbles (in german) something like: "I see ugliness of the person.."
So the most haunting element about this movie ihmo is not the fact that he imprisones travelling girls but that when he is fed up with them *which happens very quuckly woth Clare), he get rid of them without mercy..

yes, this guy has some serious social issues.
He does not know what love actually means.

First I thought, he was really into Claire in his own strange way but yes, he also wanted to get rid of her.
