No wonder Nadine felt off...

I opened the thread to discover I had apparently already watched the linked video clip. Great clip btw. Uptomyknees makes a great point of how Nadine really isn't a "strong female character" that she's just a story "trap"and ND (read: Druckmann) pulls a bait and switch of sorts, advertising Nadine as the bad guy who, as any Uncharted player will know, always gets a comeuppance in the end.

But not so with Nadine; she suddenly has a change of heart (even though she herself in the game states she's been looking for the treasure even before she was hired by Rafe) and decides the treasure isn't worth it, locks up Drake and Rafe in a burning ship for a boring end game boss battle (which SHOULD have been between her and Drake) and gets away scot-free, consequence free.

Thus Druckmann has not only had Drake get his ass handed to him not once but twice by this apparent Amazonian undefeatable inhuman goddess, but she also gets to end the game alive - both of which completely contradict Uncharted story telling. Druckmann gets to, by this twist of logic, present his feminist's wet dream "strong female character" and then save her from a cruel end. Pathetic.

Did people actually expect Nadine to be the main villain? I never got that vibe from her, not at all. Sure, Nadine had been looking for the treasure, but she shows no obvious signs of sheer obsession with it, the way Rafe does. He'll go to the ends of the earth for it and destroy everyone in his path. Nadine wants it, but not that badly. She can get her money elsewhere, and it's pretty clear that as time goes on, Nadine becomes exceedingly tired of Rafe.

No but I wanted payback after she beat Nathan twice! I didn't care much of Rafe.
